September 3, 2023 at 3:11 pmWe went to Alpine Gardens a year ago not knowing what plants to choose for a new landscape area in front of our home. They helped us choose all of the plants. A year later and everything looks fantastic! Really appreciate the personalized support we received.

September 18, 2023 at 1:24 amIncredible plant store! Exactly what you expect when you think “mountain town” plant store. The owner is very nice and has fair prices. The selection was decent for the space. The highlight was definitely how beautiful the natural light is in the space!

May 5, 2025 at 9:59 pmNo stars. We are traveling through. Just found by Google. Decided to stop, the gate was only half open, and sign on the door read therapy in session, quiet voices. Upon entry we were told they were not open to the public on Mondays. Therapy at a garden center? WTH I wanted plants 🤦♀️

July 3, 2025 at 8:07 pmWhat a wonderful place to stumble upon today. Not only did I find many unique plants I’ve not seen anywhere else, but there are some plants there for sale that are quite old and established, and at fantastic prices! Besides that, the greenhouses and perennials were all beautiful and healthy, and the atmosphere was rich, lush, welcoming, and very peaceful; it was almost like stepping into a magical garden right off of the road. They offered an extremely comprehensive and well-rounded selection of nutrients, including mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria, kelp, horticultural charcoal, soils/amendments, and gardening tools and pots as well!
This plant haven also specializes in floral arrangements and custom planting installations, and all of the ones I saw were expertly done and evidently quite popular.
To top off a wonderful experience, all of the the employees and the owner, Sherie, were so welcoming and pleasant; it was obviously a place they all felt blessed to be tending. I bought four plants, and I’ll be coming back for more soon!
Oh, and if you’re heading west, this is truthfully one of the last good nurseries/plant shops west of Denver, so don’t forget to stop in!

August 10, 2025 at 10:39 pmSimply the best! Ignore the comment that complained about Monday closure and therapy. There is a rented office upstairs that is unaffilated with Alpine Gardens. Sherrie is a sweetheart who has been in this business in Summit County for over 30 years. She is very knowledgable and carries a wide variety of perrenials, annuals, houseplants, pots, fertilizers and wildflower seeds.
