Angel Inn

This was a lovely pub for drinking, with a bright interior and old fashioned layout! The intervals between different sections create this and clock in the middle is a classic, as is the model lifebuoy. Counter is well presented and I enjoyed a pint of Cruzcampo, sitting at leather seating by a clean table!

Tucked down a dodgy looking alley is a quaint, old school pub. A Samuel Smith pub, so no swearing and no phones. Everything on tap is made by them, also most if not all of the bottles. The stout and the wheat beer here are some of the best beers I’ve ever tried. They also had a mild, which you don’t get down south. Some pints are cheaper than others (£3-4.80) but it is miles cheaper either way compared to some places. Everything we tried was great. The barman was a top bloke too, Lewis, you’re a good man.
