I brought my wife here for date night. She lives for italian cuisine and we had just that week got back from a fortnight tour in Italy for our honeymoon. I took a punt on a new reastaurant and it paid off.
After the closure of Dos Amigos i was looking forward to, but not holding my breath about what would replace it. All I can say is what an absolute gem this restaurant is, there are many Italian restaurants in Leeds but after visiting, this is a go to spot around my local area.
Hospitality first; the staff are so welcoming and really attentive. I am generally not one to pick on service, but I can really appreciate when it’s amazing. The staff here ARE amazing, friendly and make your meal special.
The food, is incredible. The quality of the produce is night and day to most italian places in leeds at this pricepoint. I was humbled, I’m not a salmon guy but the way Le Grande cook theirs, and now I am.
In our order we had:
Caprese Salad
The mixed seafood platter
Garlic pizza
Tomato and onion salad
Tiramasu
Bottle of wine.
Welcome La grande to the kirkstall area and may you thrive.
Tried the pizza from this restaurant and it was incredibly tasty—full of flavour and perfectly made. The service was above and beyond, with friendly and attentive staff. The place itself was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll return to!
Just had a lovely meal at Cotto and wanted to leave a quick review for an upcoming business.
I would explain the food as different but familiar. From my pictures you might think pizza, pasta. Whilst similar, a pinsa is different in taste and texture.
Anyone with picky eaters most of the offerings allow you to choose your own ingredients making it really friendly for everyone.
Wine selection is all Italian (Recommend the pecorino) and the cocktails & spritz are as good as being in Italy. Trust me haven’t had a better Aperol since Milan in June.
Staff are lovely and friendly, no delays or issues with our meal considering they’ve only been open a few days.
Lovely new opening to continue from the previous business.
See you soon Cotto.
Just tried a sausage pinsa…lush!! Slightly fluffier than a pizza but lovely and crispy, good dough.
Had it takeout so can’t comment on a night there but the decor was lovely and lots of big windows for good natural light. Cursory look at the menu looked decent prices and reassuringly simple…better to have fewer choices and higher quality, always 😉
Deffo try it!
Great service, menu with lots of choice but not 8 pages long! We tried starters, pizza and pasta everything was delicious.
