April 8, 2019 at 11:30 pmOne of my favourite places in Croydon. I love the coffee and they have some really nice cakes. I go often, I enjoyed the environment and the music. The toilet is not as busy as in 93 George St. The staff is more friendly in this Nero than in the one near the station.

August 19, 2024 at 8:29 pmWent for coffee with a friend on 16/08/24. I frequently have coffee in George Street Caffe Nero but was very shocked because the tables were dirty. There was only one staff serving the customers. I asked the staff to clean the table but it was not done so I took a tissue from my handbag and clean the table. Other customers came in and were complaining about the dirty tables. Maybe this branch was under new management. When my friend and I was about to leave another member of staff appeared and again I asked for the table to be cleared and cleaned but it was not done. There was also litter on the floor. Due to the state of the atmosphere with dirty tables and litter on the floor my friend and I only had a cup of coffee.

Eating here again recently.
Our preschooler son does like the toasted ham and cheese sandwich from here.
Definitely recommending this place.
During this recent visit, I tried their matcha latte. Though the matcha latte was well presented, the taste of it was bland. Insufficient amount of matcha powder I think.
Hope the management can tweak the matcha latte recipe so to be comparative to those from Starbucks.
