March 15, 2025 at 12:39 pmWe were lucky, cause we had an amazing Sunday roast for dinner! (Yes, we were a bit late) The place and the food is amazing. It looks heavy but the truth is this meal is very comfortable food. I hope I will have a chance to come back soon.

April 8, 2025 at 8:30 amHad one of the best gluten-free beers (Virtuous by Kirkstall Brewery) in this pub. AFAIK this is the oldest pub in Leeds. Loved the atmosphere even though it was a Monday evening. Might go back to try the other gluten-free beer on the menu!

April 24, 2025 at 11:54 pmIn my research of puns to visit, this popped up on lots of lists since it is the oldest pub in Leeds! Was worried it was going to be more of a tourist trap but it was a lovely experience! Super friendly staff, delicious food and such a fun and historic interior!

May 5, 2025 at 12:31 pmWe booked the back area of Whitelock’s for our post-wedding ceremony family gathering for food and drinks. Whitelock’s is our favourite pub so we always knew we wanted to host it there if we could! As soon as we made the enquiry, the team were so helpful and accommodating for all of our needs. The food was absolutely lovely, and even though we were quite loud and had a few crazy kids running around – the staff left us to party but were always there if we needed anything! Thank you so much to everyone at Whitelock’s for making our day so special. Life long memories were made and everyone in our wedding party absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to host a special celebration, in Leeds’ best pub!

July 14, 2025 at 3:44 amHad a delicious Sunday roast at Leeds’ oldest pub, first opened in 1715—over 310 years of history! The meat was tender, the roast potatoes were tasty (soaked in rich gravy), and the Yorkshire pudding was just right. A great spot for a proper traditional roast!
