August 19, 2024 at 11:48 amAnother very good pub close to Leeds station. Can’t give food reviews. Didn’t eat. But great selection of ales and Belgian beers. Unusual decor and central bar give this pub a unique atmosphere. Live music at weekends.

June 1, 2025 at 9:56 pmThis was a lovely pub for birthday drinks, with creativity throughout its interior! This is shown from the unique imagery related to beers and the train display on the wall is magnificent clearly meets the pub’s namesake, counter is stylishly presented too. I had a pint of Sagres and one of Erdinger too, appreciating these drinks being available here in the UK and circular table is very big!

June 8, 2025 at 12:21 pmIf you’re a fan of Belgian beer, Head of Steam is an absolute must-visit! Their selection is incredible—from classic Trappist ales like Chimay and Rochefort to lesser-known classics, they’ve got something for every beer enthusiast.
The bar has a great laid-back vibe, with knowledgeable staff who can recommend the perfect brew based on your taste. I love their keg selection, which often feature rare Belgian imports. Pair your beer with their tasty bar snacks (the loaded nachos are fantastic), and you’ve got the perfect night out.
If you’re a seasoned beer geek or just dipping your toes into Belgian styles, this place delivers. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality beer in a welcoming setting. Cheers! 🍻

June 20, 2025 at 10:47 amThis Pub is what a pub is all about. Quirky, great staff and atmosphere.
It also has a wide selection of Ales, I wonder a watch as they had Timothy Taylors Boltmaker available, which on a very hot day, is a very welcome refreshment.

July 14, 2025 at 10:04 pmStopped on Monday evening, and it’s clear why this pub is a local favourite! The beer selection is outstanding, with an impressive range of Belgian beers on tap and a variety of craft ales that kept me spoilt for choice. The staff were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, offering spot-on recommendations that elevated the experience. The decor is unique and creative, blending industrial charm with quirky touches, creating a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere. Prices are a bit steep, but the quality of the drinks and the lively vibe make it well worth a visit. A must for beer lovers.
