May 26, 2025 at 7:56 pmManaged to get a booking at the super popular Devonshire. Normally I’m a bit skeptical when a place gets this much hype, but have to say – it really delivers on the meat front.
We had a selection of meats and every single one was banging. Perfectly cooked, great quality, full of flavour. Easily one of the better steak experiences I’ve had in London. Desserts were excellent too – tried the Chocolate Mousse and the Sticky Toffee Pudding, both well worth saving room for.
Also had the famous Guinness. It was good, but to be honest, I couldn’t tell much of a difference compared to other solid Guinness pours around London.
Service, pricing, and atmosphere were all spot on. Only downside is that it’s not pram-friendly at all – had to lug the pram up some narrow stairs, so worth knowing if you’re going with a baby.
Highly recommend if you can get a booking!

July 13, 2025 at 6:09 amAn absolutely wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The Devonshire strikes that rare balance between comfort and sophistication — every detail felt thoughtfully considered, from the menu to the atmosphere.
The food was exceptional — rich in flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with care and passion. Each dish had a sense of purpose and identity, elevating familiar pub classics into something truly special. Whether it was the perfectly cooked meat, the bold sauces, or the spot-on seasoning, every bite delivered.
Equally impressive was the service. The team was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming, creating a relaxed yet professional environment. You could feel that they not only knew the menu inside and out, but also cared deeply about the guest experience. Nothing felt rushed or forced — just natural, gracious hospitality.
Huge thanks to the entire team for such a memorable evening. It’s rare to feel so well taken care of, and even rarer to leave a place already wanting to return.

July 16, 2025 at 2:53 pmStylish Soho gem with top-tier food, drinks, and service
The Devonshire in Soho completely exceeded my expectations. It’s a perfect blend of classic British pub charm and modern Soho sophistication. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with beautifully restored interiors, a great buzz, and a touch of old-school elegance.
The food was outstanding—elevated pub fare with real attention to detail. I had the steak (cooked over an open flame), and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve had in London. The menu feels refined without being pretentious, and every dish coming out of the kitchen looked just as impressive.
Drinks were equally excellent, with a well-curated list of wines, spirits, and proper ales. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do, which really added to the experience.
Whether you’re popping in for a drink or sitting down for a full meal, The Devonshire is a standout. A new Soho favourite—highly recommended!

August 3, 2025 at 7:11 pmHaving lunch at the Devonshire was a brilliant and memorable experience. It’s really popular for a good reason. We had the set menu which was £29 for three courses. Such fantastic value for what you get. Everything was so tasty, and the bread and butter that is also served with it is so good. Just a cracking experience and I highly recommend you book, if only for the wonderful pint of Guinness. It just tastes better! Thanks Devonshire and all the staff for making me and my wife’s experience a memorable one. Shout out to the waiter on Saturday lunch time who served us, we were on table 28 if that helps! Brilliant service.

August 19, 2025 at 9:59 amWas really looking forward to going, wanting to know was it very good marketing or does it carry through to real experience. Lovely pleasant welcome, drink at the bar then taken to our table upstairs. Table beside the wood oven, roasting, very much like the red wine served. Waiter sorted it by putting it on I e and providing a drink on the house as we waited for it to chill down. Food was good. Crab salad starter the high light. Steaks 7.5/10, chips just a Crispy fried carcase. Overall a good offering without being great. Staff and service was excellent. Thank you
