May 5, 2024 at 11:51 pmOne of the pubs that has survived in Leicester just outside the city centre.
Re-vamped a while ago, it now focuses on food and big-screen sport.
Having eaten here a few times, most recently, as pictured, is the Sunday dinner wrapped in Yorkshire pudding…..
A wrap need to do one thing- hold together. This does. Remarkably well.
Needs to as well….it comes with a bowl of gravy….
Thick gravy….
Tasty gravy…
Gravy you can drink….which I did after dipping this substantial wrap to its conclusion….
This is one if the best things to eat in Leicester in my opinion….amazing.
Service was top
This is a busy pub and it is proper pub….
Sky sports and footy on.
Highly recommend đ thanks.

July 8, 2024 at 8:15 pmThe Clarendonâs âYorkshire pudding wrapped roast dinnerâ popped up on my Facebook feed via âCool As Leicesterâ, I linked my sisters on the post and we decided to go. I didnât realise this was a sports bar; should have when I made the reservation and the chap I spoke to had to check football wasnât on as he couldnât take a booking elseâŚluckily for us it wasnât.
When we arrived one sister panicked (or had a strop rather) about the sport on tv but there was no sound and some good music was playing so yay.
Three of us ordered the rump steak wrap and one the chicken. Our server was called Charlie and he was a credit to the establishment; charming, attentive, informative but not in your face. Charlie was an excellent server, one of the best Iâve had in a long time. Hats off to the kitchen team too, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, quite delicious, the drinks were also served in decent glassware which we sisters appreciated. I enjoyed the visit so much Iâm going to take my husband and teen boys at some point.
The one thing I wasnât sure about was the parking, I didnât know where to park.

April 25, 2025 at 7:06 amLovely spot tucked away in a quirky part of Leicester. Food was spot on…. It’s as if the Chicken and chips were air fried, no oiliness but nice and crispy. We ate outside as the weather was awesome.
Highly recommend the bang bang Chicken too!
We did a mix of the bar bites deal and the sharing loaded fries…. Generous portions and hit the spot.

June 20, 2025 at 8:52 pmI acknowledge that not a lot of people were in the pub for football today, but as someone who was sitting right in front of the TV screen obviously not watching anything else at that time, I felt beyond offended and disrespected by your staff member switching channels in the middle of a game (half time was not even close) right beside me without any prior warning or any sort of communication. When I went up to the bar and asked the staff over there they simply said that ‘there are more rugby fans coming’.
I understand that not everyone goes to the pub for that particular game and rugby fans bring more profit on this particular day, but I also believe that your staff could have asked. This is a very disappointing visit due to the disgraceful behaviour of your staff and I do not think that I will ever visit the pub again.

August 27, 2025 at 11:24 pmThis pub, long popular in its neighborhood,is considerably refreshed by its recent redecor and now serves food on a larger scale though I had no opertunaty to try it. Of the two salloons, I visited only one.I found the company pleasant except for one table. On my next visit I intend to try the other room!
