Tesco Express

Absolutely done with this store. I spend £20-£25 a day there. The security follow me around the shop every time. I’ve been shopping there for 5 months. I wear my businesses own branded clothes but they look at me like I’m a known thief or trouble maker. They stand and unashamedly watch me at the counter until I’ve paid, like nothing else is happening in store, despite all the trouble in the area from people who are quite frankly, easily identified. When I acknowledge them staring, they make it even more obvious and won’t look away, despite the fact I’m in queue with money in my hand. Security pick me, a loyal daily customer that buys all the expensive products. What a joke. Taking my business outside of Tesco now, you’ve lost a lifetime customer and you can thank two of your staff.

I’ve been living in the area for over a year now and regularly shop at this Tesco Express. Unfortunately, my experience has consistently been unpleasant due to the behaviour of one of the store’s security guards.

Almost every time I visit, I’m followed and stared at in a way that feels extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate. It’s as if I’m being treated with suspicion for simply doing my shopping. This kind of behaviour is intrusive, intimidating, and feels deeply discriminatory.

Instead of focusing on genuine issues within the store, the security guard seems more interested in targeting certain individuals unfairly. It’s unacceptable and makes what should be a simple shopping trip feel hostile and stressful.

I strongly urge store management to review the conduct of their security staff and provide proper training. Every customer deserves to feel respected and safe, not harassed or profiled while shopping.

Until this changes, I cannot recommend this Tesco Express to anyone.
