July 3, 2025 at 7:54 amFascinating pub in a great location. Fabulous views. Can sit outside but it is very popular. However, great views from upstairs and lots of nooks and rooms to sit in upstairs.
The service was friendly. A range of food on the menu. The food was good. Only criticisms were the roast potatoes were not cooked as well as I liked and the carrots undercooked. But the meat, cabbage, and gravy were delicious. Other food ordered was wolfed down.
The pub has a fascinating history. I would recommend reading about it before you go. Great rooms and original features, and it is haunted. What more could you ask for.

July 6, 2025 at 6:21 pmThis historic riverside pub is a must visit, with a history of over 500 years. The oldest remaining part of the pub is the stone floors which are over 400 years old. Beautiful river rivers with plenty of places to sit and relax, both inside and outside. The bar counter is made of pewter and is quite unique. Do some online research about the pub as it is fascinating. I enjoyed my steak and ale pie with triple-cooked chips. A great location to enjoy a few drinks or meal.

August 20, 2025 at 1:07 pmThe oldest pub on the riverside in London. If you are a History nerd youβre love to read the old stories of pirates executions from the noose or hanging rope on the river bank. A good arras of draft beers awaits you.

August 20, 2025 at 1:10 pmAn Outstanding Spot, loved the 500 year old Stone Floor. Equally as good inside or if you want to relax with the view and sound of the riverside. Very Nice Staff as well, one gentleman gave me a nice brief history of The Pub and the area.

August 22, 2025 at 10:34 pmA group of us booked a table for a night of tabletop gaming. Joe sat us up in a room with a fantastic view and plenty of space with table service so we can crack on with the fun.
We had an absolute blast, with Joe and Tilly taking excellent care of us throughout the night with a fantastic selection of food (great vegetarian options) and a wide selection of drinks.
We’re looking forward to coming back for another evening soon! Thank you to all at the Prospect for making us feel so welcome.
