Celebrating the hedonism, style and flamboyance of 1920s Berlin, everything about Engel cocktail bar brings the sips and sounds of a bygone era back to life in the City of London. Nestled on the north mezzanine and out on the terrace of The Royal Exchange, with a luxurious design by Karen Taylor of Pattern Haus, Engel is open all day.
Engel’s drinks menu, designed by Bar Manager Mihai Burca, combines imaginative riffs on vintage classics with modern theatrical cocktails, with the team taking inspiration from the revolutionary characters, movements and flavours which marked the decade.
A food menu rooted in German and Austrian tradition is served from noon until late, including dishes designed with a quick City lunch in mind or as evening treats with drinks. Engel is open from Monday to Friday between 8am and 11pm.
