Dear Costco Management,
I am writing to express my concern about a disturbing incident I witnessed at your Croydon location on the evening of 27 June 2025.
During my visit, I observed a black male being aggressive towards a white male who was holding a new born baby. The aggressor was loudly saying things like, *“Put the baby down and we’ll talk,”* in an intimidating manner. The situation was highly distressing and inappropriate, especially in a family-oriented environment such as Costco.
What made the incident even more alarming was the complete lack of visible security presence. Had the situation escalated, there would have been no immediate way to call for help — there was no signal in the area and no staff or emergency support nearby. This left many of us shoppers feeling unsafe and vulnerable.
I strongly urge Costco to review security measures at this branch, including increasing staff visibility and ensuring there are effective ways to respond to emergencies quickly. Families and individuals should feel safe while shopping, and such confrontations should not be allowed to go unaddressed.
Thank you for taking this matter seriously. I trust you will look into it and take appropriate action.

The Costco has plenty of parking, and the food court has high tables for standing, and sitting tables. A treat!!
And if your from the USA, you will find that they have Sprite Zero!!!

August 2, 2025 at 12:25 amGood parking. No phone signal or WiFi in the store. Store is chaos but lots of fun products to look at. At the food kiosk, £1.50 for the beef hotdog with refillable drink is very reasonable. Ordering system is good but you’ll have to listen closely in the crowd to hear your number being called! All part of the experience.
