Another fine Turkish restaurant to add to my list, free hummus, yogurt & cucumber Turkish tea too, had Lahmacun which I’ve never tasted before and that was delicious followed by my favourite dish Lamb chops which were really tender, perfect flavouring that just melted in my mouth 😋
LOVE this place! Food is absolutely amazing and staff are so kind. Food is of an excellent quality and very good price. Lahmacun and pides are constantly being made fresh at the front – they are some of the best I’ve had. The grilled food is delicious too. Chicken wings are my favourite.
I’ve been vegetarian for over 5 years and haven’t eat meat even once in all that time, not even by mistake. I really liked the vegetarian lahmacun here so I was coming all the way 40 mins drive just to eat it.
Today I went with a friend. He ordered the regular lahmacun and I ordered the vegetarian one as always. When they bring them, they looked very similar and I saw what looked like minced meat on mine. I asked the waitress to please check again. She said they’re very careful about these things but she’ll ask the chef.
The chef came, looked confused and first pointed to my friend’s lahmacun and said “this is the veggie one.” Then he said “oh no sorry, yours is vegetarian, don’t worry.” I already ate some of it but I was still unsure inside. So I ordered a second vegetarian lahmacun just to compare. When it came, it was clear. They gave me meat.
I showed the difference to the waitress and she said sorry many times. I appreciate her being kind and honest, but I already eat meat without knowing and for me that’s a big deal.
I left quietly but it really affected me. I couldn’t do anything for the rest of the day. I felt emotionally heavy. This is not just a small mistake for someone like me.
If you serve vegetarian items, you really need to be 100% sure. This experience was very upsetting and I hope no one else goes through it.
This place is such a hidden gem! The food was amazing, the meat was so tender and really tasted like we were in Turkey. Best place in London for Lahmacun! The manager Fatma was so friendly and really gave us the best service. Would highly recommend giving this place a try and I will certainly be back!
The most delicious lahmacun in the town. Crispy, flavorful and tasty. Staffs are nice and quick even though it was busy. And prices were affordable.
