Beautiful cafe in the middle of East Ham, I can work relaxed in this environment and deal well with stress here.
The decor is lovely, slightly pricy but an oasis in a very busy area.
Amazing customer service. Amazing products. Good time keeping beginning with taking the order and ending with delivering the products and after sale care. All the time we felt really welcomed. Well done! We will be back to try the family grill platter.
I absolutely loved my lunch in this restaurant, we tried a few dishes and every single one was outstanding. I would totally recommend this restaurant for everyone in the area or even if you are passing by. The food is delicious and prepared to perfection. Definitely worth a visit if you have never been before.
I don’t live far from this place so I decided to give them a try, it seemed like a nice place from the outside, when I went in I found the staff very rude towards me, they were not welcoming, I think it could be due to the colour of my skin because they were nice to everyone else and I was the only brown person in there and I felt very unwelcomed, they took ages to serve me and when they did the way the waitress spoke to me was like she didn’t want to serve me, I still ended up ordering something small, The food wasn’t too bad. I ate my food and left. Much better place to eat in East Ham, I wouldn’t recommend this place
I’m always nervous when ever I take non-Romanians to try Romanian food. I want them to get a good first impression, and so the restaurant I choose is very important. It must be able to showcase exactly what Romanian food is about. Well, I’m pleasantly surprised to say that Carpathia fits the bill precisely! Tried the Mix Grill along with the Moldavian stew, and they were both amazing, really felt like home. The “mici” are usually hit or miss when you eat out as it depends onwhat recipe they use. Well, these guys nailed it. Whether they made them themselves or bought them, they were really good.
And the dessert, the papanași, we’re bloody huge. Can’t believe you get 2 of them lol. That’s almost too heavy to finish. Loved it. Needless to say, I recommend this place, whether you’re Romanian looking for something that tastes like home, or just looking to try something new. The staff is of course Romanian, and very friendly. Felt welcome. Bravo!
